1st Week at Southbank Centre

After a three day week last week, I spent 45 hours workin' for the man this week! Not too impressive but I am only contracted for 30 hours!

My job basically consists of:

> getting a list of event slides that they want up for a certain day
> making these slides in Flash
> transferring them to another computer to convert them into video files
> uploading these to a server
> adding them to a play-list (e.g. "all festival hall screens")
> scheduling this play-list to play on certain days, such as only Saturday and Sunday > waiting while the system ignores my requests
> going around and checking the screens in person
> realising half of them aren't showing the correct stuff > spending 2 hours finding that someone has unplugged the computer.
